About Tutoring by Pierre

I have extensive experience in educational assistance. I have been a private, independent tutor in Bakersfield since 2013 helping local students in many different subjects. While I was an undergraduate student, I also worked in three on-campus tutoring centers providing assistance in three different subjects at my university. I am also a regular volunteer at the Kern Literacy Council, helping socioeconomically-disadvantaged individuals improve their studies and prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Test. I interact with a very diverse clientele, including students who are ESL, have learning disabilities, and those who struggle due to other extraneous circumstances. I have a passion for helping others develop the faculties to better themselves, academically and otherwise.

Coming from a family of educators, I hold education in high regards. I graduated magna cum laude (3.80 GPA) from California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) and the Hawk Honors Program at CSUB with my B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance Concentrations. As a student, I was inducted into several honor societies and received many prestigious scholarships and awards, particularly my induction into the CSUB Student Leader Hall of Fame and the Roadrunner Society in 2019. I would love to get all the teaching experience I can get from tutoring. I hope you are satisfied with my services!
